where i've been.

You know you haven't been online much when people tweet and text, asking if you're still alive. I am. I've just been living life this week. I could apologize for that but I think Brin hit the nail on the head about that topic in her post about no apologies (a must read).

I'm happy to say that we are now fully recovered from the plague! It's been cold here in Chicagoland. As I write this, there's light snow falling outside and it's beautiful. I love winter!

I have not been working out. Honestly, being sick wiped me out and I plan to get back to it this weekend. I think it's ironic that as soon as I post about how I'm losing weight, all I want to do is sleep and eat comfort food like cinnamon rolls and pasta. It's all about moderation, right?

We bought a new-to-us second car this week since the hubs will be starting his new job next week! N and I kept ourselves entertained at the car dealership by taking silly pictures on my phone, talking about how badly she wanted a red car (which is what we ended up buying, funnily enough), and dreaming about what our new house will be like (she wants a garage).

In between meltdowns this week (sigh), N learned how to use my phone's camera. This is her self-portrait of her cute forehead and her favorite hair bow from Marigold Road. She also took some super flattering photos of me (that you'll never see). *wink*

I've been thrifting a lot this week, for Pyrex and vintage kitchen and home decor items. I hit the Pyrex jackpot last night and I'm headed out today (yes, in the snow) for more! I just started collecting Pyrex and  I'm loving learning all about it (this book has helped). Follow me on Instagram to see my thrifting and aniquing finds!

What kind of living have you been doing?

Happy Friday, friends.

The tea pot is Swedish. I have a lot of stuff with that tradition floral theme on it :)

Moderation can be so so tough sometimes. Like the massive bowl of fruity pebbles I had last night after eating so good most of the week :( grr

You should live your life. You have a great husband & a beautiful daughter. Live it up.
Glad your feeling better. I had that too & it was awful.
I like Pyrex too! My kitchen is pretty retro in color so I plan to live up the retro theme myself!
