how i'm losing weight.

Making better choices and moving is my game plan.

That is definitely easier said than done but that's how I'm losing weight this year. You may remember that one of my three goals for this year is to lose fifty pounds and so far, I'm down seven pounds in two weeks. I'm quite shocked at how quickly it's coming off but I've been living lazily. My body is probably stunned that I'm treating it better and making it work out!

I'm still drinking coffee and orange juice but I've replaced soda and sugary juices with water.

I'm doing the 30 Day Shred and yoga, often both in the same day. Soon, I'd like to start running.

I'm limiting my carbs, staying within 1400 calories each day, and tracking my food.

I'm making healthier snack choices.

I'm working on craft projects in the evening so I don't snack after dinner.
If I'm still hungry, I eat a piece of fruit or have a mug of tea.

So far, this is working for me and I couldn't be happier. It helps to have the added motivation of a cash prize  in my six week weight loss challenge but the long term goal is what's more important. I want to get healthy, be a better role model for N, and feel better about how I look.

Here's to forty three more pounds!
{and more, if I can do it}

You're doing a wonderful job. I plan to start up running again in about 3-4 months. I got into running before I got pregnant with my youngest and loved the challenge.

You are doing fabulous!!! If you want to start running, you must do Couch to 5K. Seriously it starts slow and you work up your endurance. Trust me I was a hater! I hadn't exercised consistently in years but last summer I did couch to 5K and ran color me rad in September. If you really want to learn to love running, that's the way.
Also please please please refer me to a crochet diy/beginners guide. I tried some you tube vids but I'm so lost!
Great job on the weight loss! You can do it!

I've been wanting to do a lot of this - for me it's just a matter of doing proper grocery shopping and clearing out my office to make room for yoga! Go you - I'm cheering you on! xo

7 pounds in 2 weeks is really good!! You go girl.

I'm also trying to snack healthier. That's my biggest thing that keeps me from being my healthiest.
