loud and clear.

When I was in youth group, we had this joke that God would answer our prayers if we simply opened the Bible, closed our eyes, and randomly pointed to a passage of Scripture. For me, that never worked. I would always end up pointing to a genealogy (not applicable) or a verse in Job (not uplifting).

There are times, though, when it is painstakingly clear when the Lord is speaking to you.

Yesterday, the hubs read Romans 12:12 as part of his daily Bible reading and posted it to his Facebook page. This morning, I woke up with the same verse on my mind and posted it to Facebook and twitter, not realizing he had done that yesterday. And just now, when I opened a package from Jenni, this was a surprise tucked inside:

I think He's trying to tell us something.

Oh, you are SO right. Sometimes it is very, very clear that God is speaking to us.

Right now I am writing a series called 31 Days of Living by Faith and it's reminding me of all the times God has spoken to me, one way or another.

Sometimes, it's just good to remind ourselves that God does speak and we should listen.

Love this! Amazing how sometimes it's so hard to determine what He is wanting for us and then other times He speaks so clearly.

Wow. That is amazing. I came to check your blog after reading your comment on instagram.

I received this book called "Live Free" in the mail the other day and didn't sign up to review it or anything. It just showed up. I told Paul maybe it was a sign and God was trying to tell me something, so I read it. Amazing how He works.

I LOVE IT!!! And We totally say the same things... sometime you can just "drop your scriptures and the page that you need to read will magically be right there!!" And sometimes it's not relevant at all! I am so glad that you love to share your scriptures via social media!! That is awesome and a great example to your youth group!

This happened to me in July with Galations 5:22-23, which I decided to memorize. Suddenly, it was everywhere--it was even the verse of the month on my desk calendar! Later that month, in what I thought was an unrelated decision of mine, I decided to lose weight and get some victory via self control. I thought, selfishly, that it was MY victory...until I realized that God had been planting the seed all month!

I am now worried I will blow away in a strong wind, as I have lost 23 pounds total. ;-)
