It's amazing how the prayers of friends can restore me so quickly. I am feeling wonderful today! I'm not completely well yet but I woke up at 8 am (a miracle) and I can breathe (another miracle). Sure, our visit with my parents here in Chicago hasn't been super exciting because of our under the weather-ness (totally a word, right?) but it's been restful.
We've enjoyed the beautiful fall weather.
We've enjoyed car naps while exploring the area.
We've enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from my parents' house.
We've enjoyed some awesome worship and a convicting message at Willow Creek.
We sure do miss Daddy though - he'll be joining us in a few days.
*smile*
I'd like you to meet Alissa of Rags to Stitches, one of my dear friends who I admire so much! She is a sister in Christ, a wonderful mama, a fashionista, and an entrepreneur. She's going to be speaking at the Penelope Lane Mini Blog Conference this Saturday and I so wish I could be there to hear her!
Read on to get to know her - you're going to love her as much as I do.
Tell us about yourself ...
Hi! My name is Alissa and I have a little lifestyle blog called Rags to Stitches. I'm a wife, mom and when I'm not sharing my heart over in my corner of the virtual blogesphere, you'll find me running my blogging agency, Pollinate Media Group. We work with brands such as Cost Plus World Market, People Magazine and Dr. Pepper. I love blogging and my passion for this community only increases each day.
What is the meaning behind your blog name?
Rags to Stitches blog was born after my husband and I found out we were having a baby. I had taught myself how to sew during a crazy "nesting" surge and wanted to start blog where I could share about our life, family and new products I was making.
What is your favorite post that you've written?
My favorite posts are my Coffee Date vlog posts, but my ultimate one would be when my hubby and I vlogged about how to be a supportive husband to a blogger.
What is one of the biggest dreams you have for your family?
I really want to be able to travel and speak about branding your blog and building a community online. Some day!
What is your favorite part about autumn?
I love that the weather cools off!

So glad you are feeling better. I can totally relate. Went through an entire box of tissues by myself this week...and that was just at work.
