why i'm freaked out, excited & anxious for this new month.

You may remember the post when I announced our big news. Well, that dream-come-true is happening at 5:01 pm today and to be honest, I'm just a little bit excited. No, I'm A LOT excited! I finally get to stay home with my little girl, do fun Pinteresty crafts with her, have dinner on the table when the hubs gets home from work, do the laundry (true story: the hubs has been doing all of it for well over a year), keep the house clean, and have more playdates with good friends (like this mama). I know, I know - some of these might seem boring or unrealistic but they sound heavenly to me. *smile*
You haven't heard much about this because, quite frankly, I'm in a little bit of denial. Even though I didn't make a 30 Before 30 list, I did have several things in mind that I wanted to achieve and most of them haven't been reached yet. And that's okay. Something I want to do more of in this next decade is give myself grace. I'm not very kind to myself, as a good friend pointed out recently, and this is at the top of my list to work on.

I'm not quite sure how we'll be celebrating my thirtieth birthday and truthfully (yes, truthfully), I haven't give it much thought. I'll keep you posted on that. *wink*

If you follow some of the same blogs that I do, you've been reading posts and watching vlogs about how some bloggers feel like the blogging world has changed. I can tell you that I feel very similarly and will be writing more about this later this month. I'm on a mission to take back my blog!

With that in mind, you'll notice that there will be some major (and awesome!) changes to my advertising packages that will take effect in September and you will notice more from the heart posts, like the kind I used to write before I got caught up in the "business" of blogging. I'll be returning to my roots, dear friends, and I hope you'll stick around to see what I have in store. *smile*

You may have noticed that I've already put my shop in vacation mode but I didn't mention this - it will be closed for the entire month. This will give me MUCH needed time with my family, MUCH needed time to work on some incredible new designs, and MUCH needed time to do some reevaluating! Also, I will no longer be doing a Mama's Flash Deal on my Facebook page. While it's been fun, I'm taking things in a new direction and it doesn't quite line up with the way I'm headed.

I will be offering a very special promo code for when I reopen that will only be available for my newsletter subscribers so you should click here and sign up for that! My newsletter subscribers will be the first ones to see new designs when I update my shop and will be offered specials throughout the year!

 Are you excited?! I am!
Here's to an incredible August!
P.S. The winner of the Framed Frosting giveaway is Julie R.! Congrats - you have been emailed!

So exciting! I'm changing my blog a bit too.... But now that you say that I have noticed that blogging has become "professional" and not as free and loose as it should be. :)

I'm so excited for you to be able to stay home. I can only imagine how truly excited you must be. :) N is going to LOVE having you home and your hubs will LOVE having dinner on the table (I'm still working on making this a daily thing, but my hubs has fun playing with my little guy while I get dinner ready on the days I'm running behind). I'm excited to hear about the changes you're making and LOVE that you're going back to your "roots". I love how authentic you are!

Phew...it's nice to see an area of blog land taking the pressure off to be constantly 'professional'. It's just not possible for me as a full time teacher to do 'it all'. Can't wait to read more about you.

I quite enjoyed turning 30. It was turning 31 that freaked me out!

Hugs,

I'm so excited for you! and maybe just a bit jealous that your hubs does the laundry...

A Proverbs 31 Wife said...

Housework and cooking and laundry doesn't sound in the least bit boring. I went from working over 55 hrs a week to about half that and it's been awesome! Gave me time to blog and a chance to be a wife, not just this tired thing who drove her worn out rear in at night!

So jealous! You go girl! I can't wait to see what August has in store for you!
