my secret obsession: granny squares.

Y'all, I have a serious love of granny squares. 

I constantly scour eBay and Etsy for granny square blankets, hoping to find the perfect one for our room. So, when Kasey of Buttonwood Cottage, contacted me and asked if she could make a custom granny square pillow for N's new big girl room, I was absolutely over the moon.

Actually, I cried. No joke. 

I was so touched that someone could be so sweet and want to bless N with such a special item for her new room! I sent her the photo above of N's comforter (photo taken before N was born) and she came up with a beautiful color palette for the custom handmade pillow.

N just loves this pillow. It's made out of super soft yarn, it's the perfect size for curling up with a Curious George or Critter book (her current favorites), and it's the perfect addition to her new room.

Hi there! My name is Kasey. I’m a crocheter and happiness blogger. I work with stylish mothers [and their families] to create custom accessories for their babies and a sweet something for themselves. But really, I believe that happiness is handmade and that I can give happiness and experience some happiness of my own one hat, scarf, and bootie at a time!

Working with Kasey was a dream. I had just a few questions about what the pillow was made out of and we worked together to find the perfect dimensions for this lovely granny square pillow.
