For me, August is all about two things: 1) savoring the last little bits of summer, like bonfires, evening walks, and afternoons at the pool, and 2) getting super excited about the new school year. I start drooling over school supplies as soon as they hit the shelves in early July, but August is when I really get down to business. Now that I live in Germany, August also usually entails a chaotic transatlantic flight followed by getting settled into a new apartment and meeting all the new staff members joining us at BFA. I'm taking on a new class this year, so I also plan to spend a decent amount of time learning all I can about 6th grade physical science!!
I am excited to share with you that my shop has recently undergone a minor renovation, with several new items in lovely colors! One look at the shop and you'll know right away that I LOVE pearls! And in case you didn't know, ALL of the sales from my handmade jewelry go towards defraying the expenses related to living and serving in Germany - so when you shop, you support a missionary! Sweet!

Lattes and Love started as a place to funnel some of my creative energy and simultaneously document some of my college life. What it's grown into is far more than I ever could have imagined, and I'm so glad I've been able to keep up with it! You'll find anything from fashion to fitness to food and everything in between. Mostly, though, Lattes and Love is a showcase of all the things that make me, Me. What makes Torie tick changes daily, but there's usually a good blend of caffeine, a hopeless romantic soul, and a belief that we are made for something great. My name is Genevieve and I'm the fingers behind the rosettes at LuBeth Designs. I'm also the wife of an amazing man & mom to three pretty great kids. I love Jesus & think that crafting, books, coffee, friends, baking, bright colors & the beach are pretty great too.
I started LuBeth Designs as an outlet for my never ending jewelry making obsession...I figure if I can stay at home with my kids and make a little extra money on the side doing something that I really like, why not? I have found that when life gets really crazy & busy that taking time to make something with my hands helps me maintain my sanity. If you visit my shop you'll see that I have quite the love affair with fabric rosettes...I'm always trying to think of new ways to showcase them.

Oh my goodness, I recently found a recipe for tiramisu cupcakes & made them for a bridal shower. So good! I'm looking for an excuse to make them again soon!

Hi, I'm Monique and I blog over at the lemonade diaries. I am a momma to a 9 year old fun-loving boy and a 1 year old little princess, a wife, full-time student, part-time bookkeeper, and part-time residential planner. Hello everyone, Shonda here from the Rosy Road. I am a wife to my sweety and mommy to our four kiddos. I have an etsy shop where I sell my favorite creations, crocheted rosette necklaces. My mom taught me how to crochet when I was in high school. Crocheting appealed to both my creative side and also challenged my brainy side when figuring out more difficult patterns. Up until I had my first son, I made mostly afghans and then life got busy with babies. But after my fourth child, I felt the need to start letting the creative juices flow again, and what better way (for me) than crocheting.
My favorite accessory is a necklace and I've been inspired by some of the fabric rose necklaces I've seen. My goal was to make a crocheted one styled similarly, which I accomplished and after some encouragement from my husband, decided to sell them in my etsy shop. Many of my designs are evolving into one of a kind necklaces where I use unique beads and vintage buttons. My goal is to add new pieces to my shop once a week. Keep checking back for new styles!

Vanilla Buttercream icing. Really delicious and so easy to make with only four ingredients: powdered sugar, butter, vanilla and milk. Tastes great on almost any cake.
