sponsor love & giveaway: the cozy project.

I'm so happy to introduce you to a new sponsor on the blog, Jenny of The Cozy Project! I was introduced to her a year ago when I purchased this adorable coffee cozy and we've been tweet buddies ever since!

Tell us about yourself ...

I am happiest when I am being creative! My mom taught me to crochet when I was young and these days I carry a bag of yarn and a hook almost everywhere I go. I live in Portland, Oregon and I love it here. I like to play outside... even in the rain!

What are you most looking forward to in May?

Perhaps you have heard, but the Pacific Northwest is quite rainy. That should start to change a bit this month. I love the rain and clouds but about this time of year is when I start to look forward rather eagerly to some sunshine. Its gonna start showing it's face any time now. I also have a lot of family fun this month. I am heading to Phoenix to visit one of my sisters. Then we are driving back to Oregon and we have a big family weekend planned at the end of the month!

Why did you start blogging? How did it happen? What have you learned?

After spending too many holiday seasons in a retail environment I decided that I didn't want to waste any more of my holiday time shopping for gifts for my family. About ten years ago, I made a pact with myself to only give handmade gifts. One year I even made afghans for all my friends and family. I really love to give handmade gifts and the first cozy I made was for a friend. It was so fun to make. Everyone loved it and insisted I make more. At some point I became unable to stop and figured that in order to support my yarn habit and maintain space in my apartment for living, I probably should sell them and an Etsy shop seemed like the perfect plan.

I really love having a shop and I feel honored when people choose me to make their handmade gifts.

What are you top three all-time favorite blogs to read?

If you could live in any era, what would it be and why?

I would love to live in the 50's and 60's... Solely based on fashion. And maybe Elvis. I love love love Vintage dresses. I wish that I could take a suitcase (or four) and travel back in time and load up! Since I can't, I just watch Mad Men and drool.... for multiple reasons.

If you could take a trip anywhere, where would you go? What would you do? Who would you take with you?

I have been dying to go to Australia! I want to be upside down. And to wander around hearing boys speak in that accent every day! It's my fave one! I would love to see Sydney and Melbourne... and take a trip in the outback.. maybe see a Kangaroo. I would love to stalk some of my favorite Australian bands and musicians.

A few years ago I had the opportunity to spend a month in Greece. I still think about it almost every day and I would love to go back again!

What is one thing that you've always wanted to learn?

I want to learn to really speak another language. I have dabbled on trips... and I took Spanish in High School. I can say please and thank you and bathroom and beer in Greek and Spanish... but I want to be really really really fluent. Maybe in both!

Jenny is offering you the chance to win ...

This giveaway is open worldwide and it ends Saturday, 5/26 at 12:01 AM. The winner will be announced in a blog post that day. Happy entering!

Oh there are soooo many cute ones...what to choose?! I love the goldfish & the aqua with strawberries, but think I will choose a basic one so it's everyday, which would be the cute grey-brownish cozy with red heart =)

I like your cozies. I lived in Portland, Or. for 15 years. It's a beautiful city. I still have friends and family there.
